Using a text element

You use a text element to store a short section of text. To create a text element, you can either add a text element to an authoring template, site area, or content item, or create a text component.

  1. Creating a text component
    You create a text component when you want to reuse a section of text in multiple places in your website.
  2. Adding a text element to an item
    You add a text element to a site area or content item when you want a section of text to be used for a specific site area or content item.
  3. Adding a text element to a template
    You add a text element to an authoring template when you want the text element to be used by a set of items that use the same authoring template.
