Creating a link component

You create a link component when you want to reuse a link in multiple places in your website.

About this task

To create a link component, open the applications menu and go to Content > Web Content Management and then click New > Component > Link.
  1. Link component identification
    Specify identification information for the component, including the name, title and description of the component.
  2. Specify a location for the link component
    When creating a component you can specify the location of the component.
  3. Selecting a link
    You use the link element to define the item or URL to link to.
  4. Link component properties
    Specify properties for the component, including the list of authors and owners associated with the component.
  5. Granting link component access
    Specify the access control settings for the component to determine which users have access to the component and their level of access.
